Meet Our Technician Mike!
At Ballinger Amplification, our expert technician and owner Mike has over 10 years of experience in the instrument and electronics repair industry. He specializes in vintage equipment and uses the latest diagnostic tools to accurately identify and fix any issues.
Important Service Details
Ballinger Amplification is a small business run from Mike's personal shop. When dropping off gear we typically ask for a $30-$50 deposit depending on the issue and equipment. This deposit covers the initial diagnostics and gets rolled into your final total.
If for some reason you decide you would like your gear back, before repair work has started, this deposit will be kept and you are free to pick up your equipment. For more information on pricing please contact us.

History
Mike Ballinger has been servicing guitars and amplifiers for over a decade. Ballinger Amplification was conceptualized in 2011 when Mike started doing freelance work under the company name, but was officially opened in 2015. We are still growing slowly but surely. Now serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, we are proud to say we have developed an exceptional reputation.
